Day 16: Perhaps we’ve never been visited by aliens because they have looked upon Earth and decided there’s no sign of intelligent life. – NdT

Roswell! Prepare for tacky, alien nonsense. But there are only so many alien souvenir shops a man can go to, so I had to expand my activities to Carlsbad. Fortunately I now have a local friend (possibly a disguised alien) who was willing to be seen with me and show me around. I continue to meet the most fantastic people and she is certainly at the top of the list. I wouldn’t have seen all the great sights today without her.

Quick quick post since I got home from Carlsbad late.

Me and my new friend, Amanda, broke into Alien Zone. I totally didn’t get probed. If an alien says he probed me, he lied…

These are the new friends we met! This place was awesome. It was hot inside, smelled a bit weird, and half the lights didn’t work. But it was still better than anything you did today.

After this was the Living Desert State Park where I got to see lots of large birds, a prairie dog colony, and a wild snake. Amanda found out I hate snakes and chased me around with it’s shed skin. Not cool, dude. It’s national watermelon day and the prairie dogs were celebrating!

After all that we shuffled off to Carlsbad Caverns to see the bats fly out of their cave! There were hundreds of thousands of bats all flying out like crazy. It was chaos and they were in a weird hurricane like spiral. I wasn’t allowed to take video but this is pretty much how it looked.

My next 2 days are really rough. I have to be in Alabama by a certain time on Sunday. If this doesn’t get updated, I’m not dead just really tired.
